TEMPO Interaktif, Karawang - Pemerintah Kabupaten Karawang, Jawa Barat, menyambut positif jika wacana pemindahan Ibu Kota Negara dan pusat pemerintahan dilaihkan dari Jakarta ke daerahnya. “Saya pikir kalau dipindahkan ke Karawang merupakan langkah yang tepat sebagai penghargaan terhadap Kota Pangkal Perjuangan,” kata Dadang S Muchtar, Bupati Karawang, Kamis (5/8).
Menurut Dadang, pihaknya akan mempersiapkan diri semaksimal mungkin jika kemudian pilihan pemindahan ibu kota negara dan pusat pemerintahan yang kini diwacanakan itu benar-benar terjadi. “Pasti kami persiapkan dan kami sanggup,” kata Dadang.
Semangat 16 Agustus 1945, dimana ketika momentum sejarah Indonesia menulis sangsaka Merah Putih dikibarkan pertama dan Naskah Proklamasi yang disusun Sayuti Melik dkk di Rengasdengklok, akan menjadi penyemangat untuk menyambut perpindahan Ibu Kota Negara dan pusat pemerintahan di Karawang.
Dadang menjamin, jika saja Karawang dinilai layak menjadi “pengganti” Jakarta, tidak akan terjadi transisi rencana umum tata ruang. Sebab, Rencana Detil Tata Ruang Kabupaten Karawang sudah sangat jelas pembagian wilayah yang memusatkan lokasi peruntukan pusat pemerintahan, indsutri, bisnis dan pertanian.
“Tidak akan terjadi tumpang tindih. Karawang akan tetap menjadi lumbung padi Jawa Barat dan nasional,” kata Dadang. Ia mengaku mempercayai mitos dan sejarah para leluhur Karawang yang mengatakan bahwa Jakarta kelak akan pindah ke Karawang.
“Mungkin, sekaranglah saatnya,” tutur Dadang. “Dan, lokasi pemindahan itu dimungkinkan terjadi di kawasan wilayah Kutatandingan yang menjadi telah menjadi legenda sejarah Karawang.
